Theo was a truly special and unique soul who touched the hearts of all
those who met him and many thousands who will never meet him.
He bore the discomfort of his life with good grace and serenity,
with a smile that lit up the room and a peaceful and uncomplaining nature.
We always felt him to be something of an angel, we didn’t know how true
those feelings were. To hold Theo in your arms, to kiss his little mouth and look into his beautiful soulful eyes was to touch a little piece of heaven. We will miss him beyond words, his sweetness and his love. He leaves behind his big brother Joey, his sister Evie and his identical twin Felix, in whom we feel a little part of him lives on. He leaves behind his mummy and daddy who wait until they will hold him once again and meanwhile keep him close in their hearts and feel his touch always. His funeral took place at 1pm on Wednesday 17th November 1999 at Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel, Hampstead, London. Thankyou to everyone who came to celebrate Theo’s life with us or who sent flowers to cheer him on his journey to heaven. We will also be organising a memorial fund in Theo’s name and it is hoped that eventually we will be able to fund a permanent memorial to him in the new children’s hospital. The book of condolences was read from at Theo’s funeral. We know that he made a difference to so many people’s lives and we were able to mark that impact. We were able to show that, even though he was only seven months old, Theo left a mark. How many human souls can truly say that they have given so much to the world and taken so very little? Thankyou to everyone who found some words for Theo that we were able to share with all his friends and family. We grieve for him with a ferocity and depth that is indescribable and yet we remain overwhelmingly grateful for having been given the gift of his life.
